SAR Securities Ltd. was established in 1980 in the name of Sharif Ataur Rahman and Co. In the same year it got the membership from Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. Its formal business (brokerage services) started in the year 1981. It was incorporated as a Private Ltd. company in 2000 under the companies Act XVII of 1994. It became a full service Depository Participant (DP) under Central Depository Systems Ltd. (CDBL) in 2003. It has been rendering Brokerage Services in the capital market as one of leading members (brokerage house) of Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd for the last 30 years.
