Rangs Motors Ltd., an established brand in Bangladesh was formed in 1998 to take over commercial vehicle marketing from Rangs Limited. It is the distributor for Eicher, Mahindra and Mitsubishi Fuso in Bangladesh. The distribution channel operates through the RML authorized Showrooms, dealers and sales concerns. Rangs Motors offers a plethora of support through its vast and varied network throughout the country. The company has also started assembling vehicles locally.
Our Group has succeeded in making diversity its strength. Our entrepreneurial instinct led us to open up branches all across the country, although we have been doing business in Bangladesh since almost more than four decades. We have been constantly examining the market to find new product and services areas to become involved in, and try to be innovative by going after new ideas, which are emerging in the international market. We are always looking for new principles and have been quite successful in our endeavor to identify and establish partnerships around the world.
2015 was a strategic year for Rangs as we attained the market leader position in buses business with 36% market share. A forth long owned and rules by TATA. The year started with immense challenge due to political unrest and turmoil but unfolded to be one of the most spectacular years. Business progressed exponentially and we could attain as high as 75% market share in 7T category.
During the year end due to government regulations the entire automobile landscape was shacked and new norms of BRTA type approval was launched. We thought that we have lost the market and competitors have won again. But with the well wishers and support of all our customers and government departments we could turn back the tables, get all the BRTA approvals on time and end of the year being the market leader.
