Research, Training and Management (RTM) International was established as an independent NGO in 1994 with the name 'JSI Research and Training Institute, Bangladesh' (JSI Bangladesh) and as an affiliate of John Snow Incorporated, a leading public health organization incorporated in the United States. The activities of JSI Bangladesh were limited to the field of primary and reproductive health. With the broadening of the sphere of its activities, the organization was re-named as RTM International and its expanded range of activities now include research, training, and program management activities in health and population, education, environment, agriculture, finance and ICT sectors. It also conducts evaluations, researches and capacity building and promotes private sector.
