Fashion Optics Ltd was established on July 14th, 1975. It’s founder, the Late Nazrul Islam, (1953-2010), started with a single optical shop in Sadarghat, in Dhaka’s former city center. From these humble origins, he expanded the business into a diverse, multifaceted business.
Today, Fashion Optics Ltd has developed into the Fashion Group of businesses with distinct wings operating in ophthalmic equipment, contact lens manufacturing lab, an acetate frame manufacturing plant, Cr39 lab and a free form lab, that together employ over 250 full time staff. In addition to this,
Fashion Group has overseen the construction and running of several eye hospitals in Dhaka and Bikrampur districts, for the benefit of the local populous.
