The Co-operative Directorate is one of the major agencies for implementing government initiatives to reduce the socio-economic development and poverty reduction of the public. The Department of Co-operative Department, under the Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Rural Development and Co-operatives Named as the Chief Registrar and Director General of the Cooperative Department. Upazila, district, division and headquarters office at this stage 4 expanded the office. There is also a National Training Academy and 10 Regional Cooperative Training Institute. The main activities of the Co-operative Department are to assist cooperative movement and ensure the socioeconomic development of the people through legal services, legal advice and development and expansionary activities, including registration of co-operative societies.
