Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI) is one of the leading Chambers involved in economic empowerment of women in Bangladesh. It was formed by a group of innovative women entrepreneurs in 2003. Currently the Chamber is working as a common platform for Women Entrepreneurs & Business Women in Chittagong region. Main aim of CWCCI is to protect, develop, support, & promote all measures towards ensuring a favorable environment for the business enterprises owned by the women. The members of the Chamber includes individual enterprises, co-operatives, private companies, NGOs and institutions either owned or operated by women, working for entrepreneurship development amongst women. Our objectives are far reaching, and increasing number of women is being able to transform their latent potentiality into reality. CWCCI provides to the members overall technological and business solutions for sustainability of women entrepreneurships.
- Round Table Meeting, Conference, Seminar, Workshop, Symposium for receiving data, Information, Findings and recommendation relating to the challenges/barriers on different policy issues and subsequently prepares appropriate recommendations in this regards for confederation of the government in favor of the women entrepreneurs.
- 48 (Forty Eight) women entrepreneurs of Chittagong have received trade license and certificates for doing business properly through the active support of CWCCI who had no access and competency in this regards.
- The women entrepreneurs at Chittagong felt very encouraging by receiving the support of CWCCI and thus new women entrepreneurs come forward under the banner of CWCCI to do business in different SME clusters.
- 60 (Sixty) Women Entrepreneurs enjoyed Registration from Join Stock Company on different nature of business and for establishment of different SME Clusters.
- 45 (Forty Five) Women Entrepreneurs at Chittagong enjoyed certificates and Boiler compliance from the respective offices like Patten & Design, Trade Mark and Boiler under the executive control of the Ministry of Industries by the support of CWCCI.
