Bangladesh China friendship is traditional. The relations between these two territories date back to history. Since then China has always remained as a great friend of Bangladesh. Apart from extending economic and defense cooperation, China lent its support for Bangladesh in different international forums. Padma Bridge glaring examples of China’s cooperation in the development of Bangladesh. There have been frequent exchanges of visits from the highest political, Business and friendship level to other areas of social and cultural life of the two countries. Economic, Trade and Commerce, Culture, Sports, Defense, Science and Technology and Religious delegations visit each other’s country. The BCCCI incorporated itself as a member of the Joint Stock Companies and firms, Bangladesh in 13th May, 2003. Subsequently the BCCCI also received affiliation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FBCCI on 23rd June, 2003. BCCCI enjoys the status of an ‘A’ class chamber under the FBCCI. the formation of BCCCI is manifestation of strong desire of the Bangladesh business community to take China-Bangladesh trade and economic relations to a new height. The chamber will always make positive contribution in the promotion of trade, commerce and industries between Bangladesh and China. It will pragmatic steps in fostering ties, particularly will strive to diversify China’s business with Bangladesh. BCCCI ardently believes that China-Bangladesh trade, investment and economic relations must be further expanded for the greater benefit fo the two peoples due t geo-political and geo-strategic bondage, and for the peace and development of the region.

- to provide counseling service for industrial or similar sectors on availability of local resources including infrastructure, roads and communications, travel and banking facilities and skilled man-power for ensuring efficient utilization of land in the light of clustering principles;
- to provide guidance for land for private owned economic zones.
- to appoint private economic zone developer on competitive basis to develop and manage the acquired land and different type of infrastructure etc.
- to prepare infrastructure development plans of economic zones for implementation and management of own establishment.
- to allot or lease or rent of land, building or site, on competitive commercial basis in prescribed manner, to investors applied for establishing industrial units, businesses and service providers for implementation and management of their establishment;
- to ensure infrastructure development of private owned economic zones within specified period through monitoring of activities of its own and of economic zone developers;
- to create opportunities for employment through establishing backward linkage industries within private owned economic zones by promoting local and foreign investment including development of skilled labor force;
